    55 × 63 × 38 cm. The crown closes from every side.

  2. 02Two wires, one work

    Silver runs from root to branch tip. Red is the second wire, and every blossom is formed from it. Braided. Twisted. Closed by hand.

  3. 03Made to endure

    Time passes. The tree does not.

Time is the rarest material.

One structure. Two wires at 1 mm. Over 1,500 metres, shaped by hand. Every blossom formed one at a time. Aluminium and stainless steel, nothing else.

A tree is grown. This one is made. Every strand was braided and twisted by hand. Nothing was cast, printed or bought ready.

The bare armature

First the armature. Every wire that will end as a branch tip is already in this bundle.

The silver skeleton

Second the branches. Splitting and twisting down to the finest twigs. The silhouette is finished before a single blossom exists.

Hands setting leaf clusters

Third the crown. One blossom at a time, until it closes. Most of the 315 hours are here.

A living bonsai needs decades to find its form. This one already has it. The form remains.
